Formula for Sucess

"I cannot give you the formula for success," says Herbert Barnyard Swope, quoted in Techinques of the Selling Writer by Dwight V. Swain on page 13 (excellent book by the way) "but I can give you the formula for failure: Try to please everybody."

Ain't it the truth? And it brings us back to the original thought of write what pleases you. Write what's in your heart.

Just write. Boldly write.

Exactly! Write what compells you to write and it will be compelling to read.

This is the third time in a week I've been told get Dwight Swains' book. Guess I should take the hint! I may need this book.

    Happy writing!

It's too true! And Paty, go get the book. It's excellent.

Danita, honey, I feel very flattered that the link you have for me makes me look so young. Thanks! :)
